How to Request Data Deletion
You can request the deletion of your data in the following ways:
- Account Settings: If you have an account, you can request data deletion directly from your account settings page. Navigate to Account Settings → Privacy → Delete My Data.
- Contact Us: You can submit a data deletion request through ourContact Page. Please include "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line and provide your account email address.
- Data Deletion Tool: Use our interactive data deletion tool below to select which data you want to delete and submit your request.
Data Deletion Process
When you submit a data deletion request, the following process takes place:
- Verification: We verify your identity to ensure that only you can request the deletion of your data.
- Processing: Once verified, we process your request and delete the selected data from our active systems.
- Confirmation: We send you a confirmation when your data has been deleted.
- Backup Removal: Your data will also be removed from our backups according to our regular backup rotation schedule.
The data deletion process typically takes up to 30 days to complete. During this time, your data will be marked for deletion and will not be used for any purpose other than processing your deletion request.
After Data Deletion
Once your data has been deleted:
- You may lose access to personalized features and settings
- Your account may be deactivated if you requested full account deletion
- You will need to create a new account and set up your preferences again if you wish to use our services in the future
Please note that deleting your data does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions. If you have a paid subscription, you will need to cancel it separately through your account settings or by contacting our support team.
Data Retention
BrowserBets retains user data for as long as necessary to provide our services and as required by law. Our standard data retention periods are:
- Account information: For as long as your account is active
- Usage data: Up to 24 months
- Marketing preferences: Until you opt out
- Transaction records: As required by applicable laws (typically 7 years)
